Five easy ways you can maximize your smartphone’s battery life

Here are five quick and easy tips to help prolong the battery life of your smartphone:

  1. Make your screen less bright. Your screen eats up a lot of your phone’s battery, so you can save some juice by making it dimmer. Go to your settings and lower the brightness level. Also, set your phone to turn off and lock itself after 30 seconds of not using it.
  2. Turn off stuff you don’t need in your apps. Some apps use your battery even when you’re not using them. They might track where you are or send you notifications all the time. You can stop them from doing that by going to your settings and turning off location services and alerts for each app.
  3. Switch off vibrate. Vibrate mode uses more battery than sound mode, so if you want to save some power, turn up the volume or put your phone on silent. But don’t do that if you need to answer important calls or texts.
  4. Stop Bluetooth running in the background. Bluetooth lets you connect to wireless devices like headphones or speakers, but it also drains your battery if you leave it on. So remember to turn it off when you’re done using it. It could save your phone from dying when you need it most.
  5. Turn on battery saving mode. Most phones have a setting that helps you save battery by cutting down on some features. You can turn it on in your settings and see how much longer your phone lasts. It might make your screen darker or stop some apps from working, but it’s worth it if you need more power.
